I promise we will get back to a more regular cadence and theme. Just not yet.
As you know, 2021 was a bit of a mess at ‘Chez Philpin’ and while we are slowly rebuilding the railroad tracks, I am in parallel reminding myself of what we did achieve last year (despite everything) in amongst that mess.
Three things have been emerging from that mess today; An Agile Business Plan, Portfolio Lifestyles and Web3 Hoopla.
Web3 Hoopla - On The Blog
Doubtless, you have heard or read a lot about Web3. I know I have. I wrote a little about my annoyance with the terminology last year.
From a People First perspective, you might think that I would be a big advocate. I am - in principle. But so far, I’m not feeling the love. So much so that I have been building a live post over on the blog where I am linking to ‘checking in with reality’ articles that catch my eye on the subject.
If you are really interested in what can go (sorry - is going) wrong - I can highly recommend;
Web3 is going just great
...and is definitely not an enormous grift that's pouring lighter fluid on our already-smouldering planet.”
If there is one quote that summarizes how the reality of blockchain is currently at odds with the marketing it would be this from Scott Galloway.
Ok - two quotes … this one from the inimitable Cory Doctorow.
Portfolio Lifestyle - On The Podcast
Sid Mohasseb is a man of many talents - and apparently a man of many careers. In this podcast, John and Sid talk about how one man can have so many careers. When you learn that he is a published author, serial entrepreneur, venture investor, university professor, board member, business thought leader and public speaker - you will see what I mean.
Have You Been Slapped In The Face By A World You Thought You Knew?
You have? Have you bought my book yet? (It is an Amazon bestseller.)
Many thanks for your attention.
WOW! This has loads to digest, so I'm going to give it the time it deserves. Thank you for sharing.
